Welcome to Pima Butte Elementary School. Pima Butte is the historical name for ‘M’ mountain. Pima Indians once used ‘M’ mountain as a place to view the whole Gila River community. The mountain also helped the Pima Indians spot stage coaches as they came through the Pima villages on their way to Maricopa Wells. It is a significant landmark here in Maricopa and we are proud to bear its name.
 
We at Pima Butte want to welcome you to our school. The entire staff and I are excited for this school year. We are dedicated to providing an excellent education, rich with lots of different, fun-filled, and exciting experiences. Our expectations are high and we are prepared to offer every student a well-rounded, excellent education.

Our goal is to work with you, the parents and community of Maricopa, to enrich your child’s life with culture and memorable experiences. Student achievement is our number one goal and we strive everyday to provide engaging classroom instruction.
